WAB KINEW WRONGFULLY ATTACKED FOR SPEAKING OUT:
I knew the politician who attacked him. Her attack on Kinew is sickening.

What a fucking stupid self-serving comment.
First off, the “epstein class” is a mysterious multinational group of elites operating outside the bounds of any one set of national laws - stealing, blackmailing, raping, and likely killing whoever they want, with little to no consequence. It has many ties to Israel, but also to Russia, the United States, and many other cultures and nationalities. It appears to literally be, “A Class.”
Secondly, I personally know Selina.
The above tweet that I am reacting so strongly to is a former BC minister of education, colleague, friendly acquaintance, and Facebook friend. Selina Robinson was ousted from the BC cabinet by BC Premier David Eby because she made a pretty mundane, though awkward, comment in an educational setting about Palestine/Israel being “a crappy piece of land” before the Jews showed up. (I considered it pretty mundane because within the geopolitical context of World War Two, she was right.)
But as a result of the comment, she received heinous threats to her life, vandalism to her property, and ostracization from most of the BC NDP government. The BC Muslim Association (wrongfully) called for her removal from caucus. Shortly thereafter, she was forced to tender her resignation.
Believe it or not, I have typically been very reluctant to engage in political topics. But this one seemed too important to ignore, which affected a person I respected on a topic I had some historical knowledge. So, I wrote both the BC Muslim Association and Premier Eby in support of Selina, calling out the wrongful nature of her treatment.
But of course, she has not been alone. The hate and persecution that she and many other Jews have faced following the Hamas attacks on Israel are deplorable and all too common throughout the Western world. I believed then, as I do now, that they are a fundamental assault on the multicultural nature of our society.
Selina was a fantastic councillor at the City of Coquitlam, the hardest working politician I ever knew, during a chapter of my life spent in social work in its francophone neighbourhood of Maillardville. She was the first to be out there supporting community events, empowering the voices of teenagers over fraught neighbourhood issues, and even playing street hockey in her high heels. This is a very good human being.
But I don’t know if there is a whole other side of her that I never saw, whether she changed as a result of her traumatic expulsion from BC caucus, or whether some strange set of external forces are pulling her into a topic that she is not cognitively equipped to handle. Because that tweet above does not reflect the person I thought I knew.
Following her retirement, Selina went on to write a book about this topic, chose to develop a public profile, and began aggregating followers from the BC Jewish community on her Facebook. I saw her posts and noted their contents and growing support. It was all well and good. However, over time it started to become very strange that she never raised a concern for what Palestinians were going through in Gaza during the course of the war. I was not even against Israel’s response to the attacks militarily, so I reserved my opinion for quite some time. But eventually, in spite of the propaganda on both sides, the serious suffering happening in Gaza became impossible to ignore.
I raised this as a curiosity in a private chat with her. She did not seem to want to talk about it. I eventually raised it in her post comments, and again, she did not seem to want to discuss it - in spite of publicly creating a conversation about it. And all I got was absolute vitriol from a family member and her followers, while she appeared to watch the conversation in muted silence.
At first, the silence about Palestinian suffering was just curious. Then weird. And finally, to be honest, suspicious. And had she at any time demonstrated any interest in reviewing her stances on Israel, I wouldn’t be writing this now.
But she appears to have a narrative that she is driving recklessly hard into the public sphere without any self-reflection that I would argue is not only hurting our national interests, but also pitching cultural groups against one another in Canada.

IF YOU’RE CONFUSED
If you are legitimately confused about why Kinew would say this, you haven’t been doing your homework. You’ve either not had a chance to really digest the enormity of the Epstein files, which is understandable, or you’ve got some serious emotional and/or intellectual blind spots. Which, to be fair, we all do.
Anyone can reasonably disagree with Kinew here. But really, no informed person should be shocked or confused by this. I’m not. I one hundred percent agree with him.
And that isn’t because I have anything against Jews, or the country Israel - necessarily. I have lost an entire vein of family to the Holocaust (Romania) and spent years stringing tens of thousands of words in defence of Jewish and Israeli-state well-being.
But I’ve read many of the Epstein files. I follow the independent journalists who are pouring their hearts and souls into unearthing their truths. I am not an expert, but I know how to follow the evidence. I know just as much as Kinew clearly knows. And I can tell you, he is one hundred percent justified to believe what he does.

A SLIVER FROM THE MOUNTAIN
I am aware of how swallowing much of this is going to be difficult the first time. Skip it, if your not sure you can handle it right now. I barely scratch the surface here, but know, the documents go so much farther into a world that is dark. Really really dark.
Like, possibly worse than the Holocaust, dark.
FBI documents in the Epstein files contain evidence that allege Donald Trump’s rape of children, and possibly being implicated in their murder.
They tie Trump to Epstein, and both of them to the Russian government and the Israeli government. Allegations are made by witnesses, supported through both FBI documented emails and other circumstantial evidence, that allege Epstein worked with and/or was trained by Mossad, dating all the way back to Iran-Contra. Epstein received massive swaths of money from important Israeli government contacts, and communicated extensively with former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak.
In fact, one of the first things Barak did when he left office was contact Epstein and ask for advice on what to do next.
Quite honestly, if you listen to it, as I have, the tone of Barak calling Epstein was that of a puppy, excited for having completed his last task as president and suddenly ready for his next assignment.
And what did Epstein tell Barak?
He told him that the next chapter of his life was with: Peter Thiel.
Yep, the guy that got Trump elected.
Netanyahu isn’t innocent either

The web of nefarious behaviour and liaisons is vast, and the evidence goes on and on.
We have all been surprised by what has happened in the world these last few years. But so much of it, it appears, seems to have something to do with this story which reaches to the very pinacles of Western power.
But forget all that for a minute. What is the thing that really matters?
ONE THOUSAND WOMEN
Ghislaine Maxwell, daughter of Israeli Mossad asset and media tycoon Robert Maxwell, recruited little girls in Florida high schools to recruit other little girls with a service fee, pyramid scheme style. Why? So that rich, famous, and powerful men could gather from all around the world to rape them. Thousands of little girls. Without justice. Not a single john in jail.
And, those encounters were taped. We do not know who those tapes were shared with. Even today, justice for the women who suffered those rapes has gone largely unpunished, and now, uninvestigated. (Trump cancelled the investigation immediately after becoming president, and soon after moved Ghislaine Maxwell to a low security prison, unprecedented for a convicted sex offender.)
A mere days after Musk first outed Trump in the Epstein files, Trump bombed Iran in the summer, in spite of no serious intelligence from any Western country verifying nuclear enrichment as a concern.
A mere days after damning Epstein files were released after being illegally repressed this February, which includes documents of witnesses alleging Trump raped children, the war on Iran began.
Funniest thing, Marjorie Taylor Greene actually predicted this the moment those files were released.
Funnier still?
Epstein predicted Trump would declare war on Iran if he ever got his back against the wall. The last resort.
A REAL CONSPIRACY
A shadowy game has been played by powerful interests out of the United States, Russia, and Israel.
Personally, I think any reasonable person seriously reviewing the evidence can see that both the Russian government and the Israeli government have kompromat on Trump, and are almost certainly competing to blackmail him for their own interests. (British MI6 officials have confirmed this for Russia. Media silence on Israel is telling.)
I never thought about any of this originally, but by the Zelensky incident in February 2025, it started to become pretty clear that at least someone had something on Trump. To me, it meant that Trump was not only going to look at military adventures in Canada, but also whatever other weak geopolitical targets popped up as vulnerable for him to relieve his domestic tensions and accrue more institutional and psychological power while he was at it.
As a result, actions against Canada, Iran, Venezuela, Greenland, Mexico, and Iran again have all been, in my view, entirely predictable.
But it is a messy situation. What is really going on? We just don’t know. We aren’t being allowed to know. All an honest, engaged citizen can do is speculate.
Only 3% of the Epstein files have been released. That may mean as much as 97% is being illegally withheld. And so while congressmen are openly calling Trump a child rapist on the floor of Congress, most of the news has diverted from that to the war in Iran.
What forces are actively obstructing an investigation into the Trump-Epstein affair is unclear.
Wab Kinew believes that Trump is invading Iran, against military advice, to distract from the Epstein files. And Wab clearly doesn’t want Canadian men and women joining in.
That is a reasonable position from anyone that has spent an ounce of time looking into the Epstein files, never mind listening to military or intelligence experts from any decent democracy in the world.
I happen to wholeheartedly agree with Wab. (Feel free to check my Substack history). I have agreed with that view for months, nearly an entire year.
The likes of Wab and I might be wrong. Only a real investigation can clear that up. I have no problem being wrong.
But whether we are wrong or not, it doesn’t change the fact:
Criticizing Israel IS NOT antisemitism.
THE HEART OF MY CONTENTION
Right now all kinds of pundits like Selina are coming out of the woodwork to call Wab Kinew antisemitic.
Shame on you.
What an insult to all those little girls that were raped.
At no point that I have heard has Wab attacked “Jews.” He has made an incredibly reasonable geopolitical assessment of the country “Israel” and the country “USA.”
Honestly, to conflate his comments with being racist is, in my view, racist. Would anyone jump on Wab if he was Jewish? We all know the answer to that. So what, because he doesn’t have the ethnicity, he can’t critique the United States and Israel? What fuck are you talk about?!
Many Jews around the world protest the country of Israel’s activities as a country. Are they antisemitic, too? This is a distortion of both the content and spirit of Wab’s words and a projection of a racial context onto them, all the while ignoring massive amounts of military, intelligence, and legal context.
To be unaware of that context is understandable. To twist that context into hate speech is, by its very definition, hateful.
I don’t like it. I find it sickening. Repulsive, actually. And anyone finding themselves swept up in that hatred towards Kinew should immediately take a step back, take a breath, and investigate the evidence.
For those that do have the time, intelligence, and resources to understand that context, like Selina, there is really no apologizing for this. Because truly, this does really clearly appear to be racially motivated.
I had a lot of respect for her. I do not now.
This saddens me deeply...
TWO EVILS DON’T MAKE A RIGHT
The world is a complicated place. Traditional tribal loyalties are shifting, and in their movement, revealing unreasonable attachments to thoughts and beliefs within us all. As a result, this period of time in human history can be a revelation for self-reflection, emotional autonomy, and deeper intellectual thought.
One idea I find myself consistently struggling to let go of is the idea that the enemy of my enemy is my friend.
Well, no. Not really. That is not how the human race is going to reinvent a bigger and better model for ethical conduct and international cooperation.
It will be realpolitik, and we really can avoid doing a lot of bad by cooperating with our enemies. We might even achieve great things together, as Soviet-Western alliances did in World War 2 - and may become one hundred percent necessary.
But in this wild and crazy world, principles matter. Those who can still act on principle, matter. Relationships built on principle, matters.
GANSTER MORALITY
Just because you believe what Trump is doing is wrong, doesn’t mean what Iran is doing is right.
Just because you believe what Iran has done for decades is wrong, doesn’t mean what the United States and Israel are doing is right.
Just because you believe what Netanyahu is doing in Gaza, Lebanon, and Iran is wrong, doesn’t mean what Iran is doing is right.
This is a world of states acting like hungry hungry hippos, each scrambling for their next self-interested meal, often without any real concern for the collateral damage.
As far as I am concerned, these are all criminal actors beating up on criminal actors, guilty of crimes to varying degrees. My heart used to go out for the Israelis suffering the threat of existential obliteration. My heart totally goes out to all the innocents (in Iran especially) whom have suffered at the hands of this extreme theocratic regime in Iran - which is why my first post about the attack on Iran attempted to celebrate the possibility of freedom to the Iranian people
And yet, I personally believe everything that Trump does is wrong, because it reinforces his dictatorial power. There are no good ends his evils can be justified by. Same with Putin. Same with Iran. Possibly same with Netanyahu (though I reserve ultimate judgement there because I do not well understand what is happening on the ground there.)
The point is, this is a gangster movie, and sometimes it seems like we are all cheering for our favourite mob boss. But it isn’t a gangster movie. It is real life. And real innocent people are getting shot up in the crossfire.
And if you are a public forum directing a community to cheer for one boss over another, no matter how evil the person they are fighting is, you are ethically complicit in a crime.
And if you are targeting those standing up and pointing out the crimes happening around them, such as Wab Kinew has done, then you're pretty fucked up. And at the very least, ethically complicit in the coverup. Please straighten yourself out, and eeducate.
No one should be attacking Wab Kinew for his comments about Trump’s war on Iran.
It is ignorant, dangerous, and ironically guaranteed to inflame racial tensions between different subcultural communities in Canada - and put Jewish Canadian citizens at risk of wrongful retaliation.
Leave your culture wars at home. We have enough of them to clean up here as it is.

While editing this I stumbled upon a slough of angry comments in defense of Selina and in cruel attack of Wab on twitter, which continually reference his troubled youth and native heritage…The mean-spiritedness cruelty is the real story here.

All this bullshit is not Canada.
We can picket each other in a victim Olympics for sympathy all we like, it doesn’t change the fact that these cultural politics are imported and not reflective of us at our best, or who we are at our core.
Canada is a multicultural country. Our mix of First Nation, French, and English permeates every aspect of society, founding principles that facilitate, and protect, our mosaic of cultural life for others from around the world.
Under attack by Selina and many others here is a cultural framework that was only possible because we struggled for four hundred years to develop the protections of religious belief, political freedom, and uninhibited self-expression.

The ability to have a good and prosperous life in Canada needs to be protected - regardless of whether you are Jewish, Muslim, Sihk, Christian, or aethiest. Protect Canadian Jews. But don’t cross the line of feigning victimhood to elicit compassion for the political support of a foreign power.
Kinew is entitled to his view, and he should not have to worry about being attacked like this for expressing it.
You’re a good egg, Kinew, and I really like what you did there.

It's obviolus to anyone paying attention that Wab's reference to the Epstein class refers to the class of billionaires & elites involved in the alleged child trafficing, rape, murder & coverup. I completely support Wab's statement.
There is a personal responsibility to information gathering and being skeptical about being fed singular narratives. Being silent to critical rhetoric raises red flags of ignorance which may or may not be intentional. In heated times of contention, shying away from the nuance of these arguments displaces trust.
