Yet another escalation, made intolerably ordinary
This is just a reminder.
Trump has been remotely diagnosed by innumerable psychologists as having malignant narcissism, known as the most destructive mental condition a human being can have.
He takes pleasure in destroying things and making people suffer. Studies suggest that this is the same mental condition that Hitler, Stalin, Mao, and Saddam Hussein all had - whom were responsible for the deaths of approximately one hundred plus million people during the 20th century.
LAST TWO WEEKS
And, on top of that, he appears to be very ill. Dangerously ill. Possibly demented.
Meanwhile, we may have just come closer to the end of our species than at any other point in modern human history. And yet, last Tuesday seemed like every other Tuesday, as most of us did not even notice while we busied ourselves at work, picked up our kids from school, and binged Netflix.
And yet, a mentally unhinged authoritarian dictator disabled most of the institutional checks on his power and threatened to use the most powerful military in human history to nuke a rival country…
Congratulations though. We did survive.
So, are we in the clear?
Since, Trump has reinstituted the draft, depicted himself as Jesus Christ, and threatened the Catholic Church with military intervention if they do not get in line.
The Pope, it appears, is not beyond Donald Trump’s malice.
And for some reason, it all began beside the Easter Bunny?
AND SO,
Keep thinking, keep dreaming, keep talking.
Good things are happening. New relationships are forming. New ideas are being tried.
We need young new leaders. New institutions. Moral focus, sharp.
Because, as bad as this all seems right now,
It is only going to get worse…
